πŸ—½ Our First Time in New York City – A Winter Adventure to Remember

Dates: January 13–16, 2023
Flight: Departed from MCO to LaGuardia Airport, costing $182.36 for two people (backpack only) (flying with Spirit Airlines)
Accommodation: Stayed at a hotel in Times Square (gifted, so we don`t know the price)


✈️ Arrival and First Impressions

We landed in LaGuardia and took an Uber to our hotel in Times Square. Though I don’t recall the fare (probably around $30~$40), the excitement of being in NYC for the first time was priceless!


πŸ™οΈ Day 1: Empire State Building & Broadway Magic

  • Empire State Building: Used our New York C3 CityPASS ($109 per adult) to visit this iconic landmark. The views were breathtaking!
  • Rockefeller Center: Strolled around and admired the famous Christmas treeβ€”truly a sight to behold.
  • Broadway Show: Ended the day with “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.” Tickets started at $75, and the performance was spellbinding.

❄️ Day 2: Winter Wonders and Scenic Cruises

  • Bryant Park: Enjoyed a delightful hot chocolate with s’mores from SmoresNMore. As snowflakes began to fall, it felt like a scene from a movie ❀️
  • Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise: Part of our CityPASS, this cruise offered stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, Brooklyn Bridge, and more.
  • Ellen’s Stardust Diner: Dined while being serenaded by talented singing waitstaffβ€”a unique and entertaining experience.
  • Grand Central Terminal: Visited the Whispering Gallery, an acoustic marvel where whispers travel across the domed ceiling .
  • Magic Hour Rooftop Bar: Concluded the evening with panoramic views of the Empire State Building. Entry was free for guests aged 21 and over.

  • Margaritaville Rooftop: Enjoyed our final evening with a relaxing view of the city skyline.

Spent our last morning with a peaceful walk in Central Park and Times Square before heading back to the airport, cherishing the memories made.
